Suki-tte Ii na yo 08

The day after Bynoe came back and picked up his TL work again, another crucial member, Yuyu, left the group for good. (Would have been nice to know that, though.) We’re thankful for what he’s done for the ~, which has been a lot, but it looks like it’s time to move on. The exquisite furzi from Asenshi has graciously offered us his help for the remainder of this season, so you can go and thank him for his support.

On that note: I’ll go and admit that I was somewhat puzzled by you guys – no idea how and why we deserve your support. We’ve been terribly unreliable lately and made some stupid mistakes on top; I know that I‘d have dropped any unknown group showing the signs we’ve shown and never looked back. Guess that makes you better people than I am.

Oh, and of course, we are extremely grateful for your comments, and extremely sorry for what has happened. I hope that we’re finally getting back on track now, maybe even with another release this weekend, though it still could take us a little while until we get back into the groove. E7AO 23+24 are up next, followed by the rest of Sukinayo and one winter season show.

  1. Thank you for the release! It’s good to see you back up and running. I don’t find it so surprising that there are others willing to wait for quality releases from a group that is honest, respectful, and genuinely seems to care about what they are doing. Like all new groups you’ve had some bumps in the road, and have had to learn some things as you go, but as long as you are willing to put in the time and effort that you obviously have thus far there will always be fans who will wait patiently for quality. Cheers, and keep up the good work, it is appreciated.

  2. Yay!

  3. You guys are awesome ^^ keep it up! thank you so much for the new episode!

  4. Don’t worry, we all love you. Waiting for a nice group like you is nothing. Just remember that you’re a strong, independent sub group who need no man.

Thanks for all your hard work :3

    • Damn right, aint noone gonna bring this sassy black sub group down [proceeding to reread a Toni Morrison novel].

Shoujo fans are accustomed to dysfunctional relationships.

    • Shoujo fans should be taking cues from Kare Kano. I’m not super fond of how modern shoujo stories paint relationships, seems like 80s and 90s stuff was more progressive than what we have today in some ways.

      • Regardless, I’m thankful that you’ve stuck to finishing Suki-tte Ii na yo. After trying out IB, I still prefer your releases.

Just got to add, I wish Kare Kano was finished…Amazing anime, need to finish reading the Manga

  6. Believe what you want… but truth be told… you haven’t made any real mistakes and you guys have the best subs for this show… that’s why it’s worth the wait… so please know that you’re worth! Thanks for this episode and can’t wait to see the others! Thanks also furzi for the assist! THANKS AGAIN, ~!

  7. Well, when it comes to E7, I’m happy to wait for you. The gg subs are… well, gg subs. Trollsubs.

I sometimes wish they stopped subbing things; maybe more groups would be interested in doing them then. Groups that could sub something, that is.

Hey, you even went and figured out that “Vester” is the japanese mangling of “VesterÃ¥len”. Which I appreciate, given that I actually live in Sortland, which is what was actually referred to in the end. Yes, I was *incredibly* surprised.

    • I… think that may have been one of the few contributions on my part to the group. We had a bit of an internal debate on that one; I basically just used Google and assumed that’s what was being referred to.

  8. Yeah, I may grunt and grumble as much as anyone else when delays happen, but I keep that to myself: It’s silly to post negativity on your site when you’re giving me quality entertainment for free. Sure I can get my short-term fix elsewhere, but I support you folks because you provide excellent subs that I want to keep and archive for the long term. You do good work and I thank you for it.

  9. You’re BACK!!

    (tears of joy)

  10. thanks for your wonderful work on this series – best encodes/translations by far on this awesome show…….worth the wait!

    • p.s. – thanks for providing encodes for all us folks with ancient computers! much appreciated……

  11. please episode 9

  12. > no idea how and why we deserve your support.
After going 22 episodes with a group, it sucks to switch at the very end. Sticking with a group maintains consistency in translation style, naming conventions, etc. so there’s not a jarring change in the middle of a season.

  13. still waiting for episode 9, we’d appreciate that. thx in advance

  14. Even though I don’t mind waiting some kind of update what’s up at your place would be nice 🙂

    • Hey,

I am truly sorry for this state of affairs. In the past, I’ve tried to keep people informed about delays and plans, but as it is right now, not even I know when we are going to continue with our releases. I’ll have to keep on waiting with you guys, sorry.

      – Ianu

      • too bad… I hope you people can pull together sometime soon and overcome all of your problems ^^
even though it’s nearly another month now, it’s nice to see that you are still alive, even if you do other things first 🙂

      • In fact, I’m working on a solution – hope we’ll see some action soon.
